Improved coverage for most prescription drugs

We have made changes to improve coverage for most prescription drugs starting January 1, 2022. Eligible retired members will have a grace period to transition to the new drug plan.

Compound drugs

Compound drugs are mixed and prepared by your pharmacist because they are not commercially available. If you are taking a compound drug, it will be covered under tier 1. The retirement group health benefits program will continue to follow Green Shield Canada’s compound drug policy. You can learn more by reviewing the policy.
