Pension transfer agreement between RCMP pension plan and Public Service Pension Plan

We are pleased to announce a new pension transfer agreement between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) pension plan and the Public Service Pension Plan. Effective May 3, 2021, eligible members can transfer their contributory and pensionable service between the two plans.

To transfer service under this agreement, you must submit your application while you are an active member. You have a three-year window after the agreement’s effective date or after you begin contributing to the pension plan you are transferring into, whichever is later, to apply to transfer your service.
